Shōgo Asahina (朝比奈 省悟, Asahina Shōgo) is a male member of the Four Holy Swords and afterwards is a member of the Black Knights with the position of being commander of first squad. He has dark green hair, wears glasses, and has a distinctive scar down the right side of his face.

Character OutlineEdit

Shōgo Asahina is a highly trained knightmare pilot which allowed him to join Tohdoh and the Four Holy Swords. Like Chiba, he has the utmost faith in Tohdoh, and develops a distrust for Zero following the Black Rebellion, questioning his tendency to keep secrets and bring on new members such as Rolo and Jeremiahwith no discussion. After the formation of the United Federation of Nations and the Black Knights' appointment as its unified army, Shōgo is made the 1st Division Captain. After Lelouch's assualt on the Geass Directorate, he questions the sub-commander Kinoshita about it, becoming even more distrusting in Zero. During the second battle of Tokyo, he is killed in the blast from Nina's F.L.E.I.J.A. bomb whilst trying to pursue Rolo, but not before transmitting information about Zero's massacre of the Geass Directorate (which in turn came from Kinoshita, who participated in it) to Tohdoh to prove Zero can't be trusted.

First SeasonEdit

Asahina makes his first appearance alongside Kyoshiro Tohdohand the Four Holy Swords to defend the Japan Liberation Frontfrom the Britannian Army. He is piloting a Burai Kai, an upgraded version of the Burai. While defending, Zero retreats leaving Asahina along with Tohdoh and the Four Holy Swords to fend by themselves. As a result, they abandoned their knightmares and escape. He is later seen with Tohdoh and the others for a meeting, but are discovered and Tohdoh sacrifices himself and becomes captured to let Chiba, Urabe, Asahina and Senba escape. Then, the Four Holy Swords turn to the Order of the Black Knights for help to rescue Tohdoh.

Gekka to pilot by Rakshata Chawla. They break into the prison and rescue Tohdoh. Then, Asahina fights against Suzaku with Tohdoh and the others under the orders of Zero. Tohdoh and the Four Holy Swords' knightmares take damage due to the Lancelot's Harken Boosters. They spot reinforcements and Tohdoh gives the command to release the chaffsmoke and escape.

He is seen later on after Euphemia massacres the Japanese due to Lelouch'sGeass and follows under Tohdoh during the Assault on Tokyo Settlement. He appears alongside Senba to help Tohdoh with his fight against Guilford while they also strategize on what to do next. During the time that Zero has left, he and Chiba are pinned down by Britannian Forces.

Second SeasonEdit

After the failed rebellion, Asahina was among the people to be arrested along with the other members of the Black Knights. To draw out Zero, Gilbert G.P. Guilford threatens to publicly execute all of the Black Knights. However, Zero comes and manages to free them all. But, because of Zero's earlier abandonment, Asahina and Chiba have a harder time to trust Zero, but because of Tohdoh, he still follows under his command.

He is later seen during the assault on a Britannian aerial transport of Viceroy Nunnally to kidnap her. After destroying the escorts, Asahina notices the Tristan unaware of the fact that it is a knightmare and his gekka is destroyed, but managed to eject in time. During the time when the Black Knights are in the Chinese Federation, Asahina obtains the knightmare, Akatsuki Command Model Zikisan to replace his Gekka and to fight against the Chinese Federation forces with it. After Lelouch's assualt on the Geass Directorate, he questions the sub-commander Kinoshita about the mission details

but he is denied when Rolo appears causing even more distrust in Zero. After the formation of the United Federation of Nations and the Black Knights' appointment as its unified army, Asahina is made the 1st Division Captain.

During the Second Assault on Toyko Settlement, he witnesses Kinoshita's death, but before he dies he transmits data about Zero's massacre of theGeass Directorate to Asahina. With the information, he decides to capture Rolo. However, as he was on his way to capture him, he is killed in the blast radius of Nina's F.L.E.I.J.A. bomb.

Ryōga Senba (せんば りょうが, Senba Ryōga) was the oldest member of the Four Holy Swords. After joining up with the Black Knights, he gained the position of Captain of the Second Squad.

Character OutlineEdit

Senba is initially seen as a member of the Japan Liberation Front and also a member of the Four Holy Swords. Out of the four, he is seen as the oldest member as well as the wisest. However, just like his comrades, he sees Tohdoh as their leader and gives him his loyalty. He is killed by Gino Weinberg during an assault on a Britannian aerial transport. His last words were that he wanted to see Japan being liberated.

Tohdoh and the other Four Holy Swords knightmares take damage due to the Lancelot's Harken Boosters. However, Senba's Gekka is damaged by one of Lancelot's Maser Vibration Swords (MVS). They spot reinforcements and Tohdoh gives the command to release the chaffsmoke and escape.

He is seen later on after Euphemia massacres the Japanese due to Lelouch's Geass and follows under Tohdoh during the fight of Area 11. He appears alongside Asahina to back up Tohdoh who is engaged with Guilford.

Second SeasonEdit

After the failed rebellion, Senba was arrested along with the other members of the Black Knights. To draw out Zero, Gilbert G.P. Guilford threatens to publicly execute all of the Black Knights. However, Zero does come and manages to free them all. Senba is seen again when Chiba and Asahina talk to Zero about his eariler abandonment and has a harder time of trusting Zero, but because of Tohdoh, still follows under his command.

He is later seen during the assault on a Britannian aerial transport to kidnap the Viceroy of Area 11, Nunnally vi Britannia. He intially is with Asahina assaulting the battleship and destroying enemy forces. He gives Asahina advice and is interrupted by the appearance of the Knights of the Round. Later in the battle, Senba along with Tohdoh make it inside, but Gino Weinberg and his Knightmare, the Tristan intercepts them and stabs through Senba's Gekka with its MVS Polearms. Senba dies with the explosion of his Gekka.

Nagisa Chiba (千葉 なぎさ, Chiba Nagisa), 29 years old (30 at R2), is the sole female member of the Four Holy Swords. She later joins the Black Knights and after the restructuring of the Black Knights, she becomes Captain of the Fourth Squad.

She is a member of the elite unit known as the Four Holy Swords and was also a member of the JLF intially. In order to rescue Tohdoh, she along with the other members of the Four Holy Swords joined the Black Knights. She also holds a strong attraction to Kyoshiro Tohdoh. A year after the Black Rebellion, she harbors animosity towards Zero for abandoning them. She survives the final battle but is captured along with all the other Black Knights for a public execution. She is released when Lelouch is killed and is seen together with Tohdoh in traditional Japanese attire in a photo of Kaname Ohgi's wedding.

She is later seen during the assault on a Britannian aerial transport of Viceroy Nunnally to kidnap her. She witnesses when Kallen falls off the airship and tells her to pull the ejection seat. Following that, Chiba is caught by theMordred and ejects right before her Gekka is destroyed.

During the time when the Black Knights are in the Chinese Federation, Chiba obtains the knightmare, Akatsuki Command Model Zikisan to replace her Gekka and to fight against the Chinese Federation forces with it. During the Battle at Xiaopei, Chiba and Asahina were able to ambush the Chinese Federation forces. However, after the Shen-Hu makes an appearance both her and Asahina are overwhelmed by its power and she watches helplessly as Kallen is taken prison. She regroups with the remaining Black Knights at the Mausoleum of Eighty-Eight Emperors where another battle ensues between the Black Knights and the united forces of theHoly Britannian Empire and the Chinese Federation. She along with Tohdoh and Asahina are left in charge of destroying the air units as well as engaging in battle with the Knights of the Round. During the battle, Chiba along with C.C. both strike the Mordred and Asahina is able to follow up by damaging the Mordred's Float System. The battle ends after the High Eunuchs are exposed and the Britannian forces retreat.

Before the meeting of the U.F.N., everybody is preparing. Chiba is seen putting on make-up for Tohdoh and was on her way to ask Tohdoh a question hinting on how their relationship is, but Ohgi arrives and Tohdoh leaves while Chiba states that "she was to slow." She later appears in the Second Assault on Tokyo Settlement, under the command of Tohdoh. As the Gefjun Disturbers disable all 5th generation and lower Knightmares, she along with Asahina and Tohdoh try to achieve air superiority over the Britannian government building by destroying the Britannian forces that pilot 6th generation and above Knightmares. When Kallen was set free and was piloting her Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements, she rammed through David T. Darlton's Gareth allowing an opening for Chiba to finish him off. After learning the truth of Zero's identity and his geass power, she joins the other leaders of the Black Knights and betray Zero.

Kaname Ohgi and Viletta Nu's Wedding

She along with the Black Knights join Schneizel to stop Lelouch's plan. During Tohdoh's battle with Suzaku, his Zangetsu is destroyed, but managed to eject. The cockpit is caught by Chiba who defends Tohdoh by firing missiles at theLancelot Albion. She manages to escape and bring Tohdoh back to be treated. Tohdoh attempts to join the fight again even though he is badly wounded and Chiba pleads him against doing so. When Lelouch assumed control of the Damocles, Chiba was captured along with everybody who opposed Lelouch's rule. During their scheduled execution, Chiba witnesses Lelouch being assassinated by Suzaku. Chiba is last seen together with Tohdoh while wearing traditional Japanese attire in a photo of Kaname Ohgi's wedding with Villetta Nu.
