The Yuki clan (雪一族, Yuki Ichizoku) lived in the Land of Water. Some time ago, the country was in the midst of a civil war. In this war, different sides battled each other using ninja, some of whom possessed kekkei genkai. After the war ended, memories of the horrific battles still lingered in the minds of the people, causing wide-spread persecutions against those with kekkei genkai. Because of this, the Yuki clan, whose members carried the Ice Release kekkei genkai went into hiding.[1]
Haku and his mother, now both deceased, were the only known members of this clan. What happened to the rest of the clan is unknown, but it is assumed that they were either killed or, like Haku's mother, went to live peaceful lives living as normal people, without revealing their bloodline. Memories of the clan still linger, its members and kekkei genkai being called "cursed" even during theFourth Shinobi World War.[2]
Trivia
"Yuki" means "snow": a reference to their kekkei genkai.
The clan's ultimate technique is the Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals, which is said to have been passed down through the generations. It is also noted that very few methods can defeat this technique.[3]

The Watari Ninja (Watari Ninja; Literally meaning "Wandering Ninja") is a small group of missing-nin led byHōki. Most of the members wear masks to hide their identities.
Background
This group had for a long time wandered from place to place to seek out techniques to copy. At some point, Hōki decided that his clan needed some place to settle. To that end he went to the Land of Birds disguised as "Mōsō", became chief adviser to the land'sdaimyō, Ōwashi, and eventually assassinated Ōwashi.
Plot overview
The new daimyō, Sagi (who was later revealed to really be Sagi's twin sister, Toki), took the guise of theCursed Warrior in order to avenge her father. Mōsō sent his assistant and the daimyō's childhood friend Chishima to Konoha for help, a task Neji Hyūga, Naruto Uzumaki, and Tenten are assigned to. After the team of Konoha ninja figured out that the real threat was the Watari ninja, the membersHokushin and Nagare proceed to follow and attack the foreign ninjas. They were both defeated byKakashi Hatake, who had come to assist the Konoha ninja. Naruto defeated Hōki with Naruto Uzumaki Combo. Hōki was then handed over to Toki, and Naruto requested that he be forced to repent for what he had done.
Abilities
In their pursuit of gaining strength through copying techniques, the group has become very versatile. They have been seen using various advanced techniques and even effective simulations to tailed beast skills such as Gaaras sand-techniques. Despite having "copied" many techniques, many of the clan's techniques were just weaker copies of the actual technique. For example, Hōki's "Summoning Technique" was activated by a projector. Also, he used strings to make it appear that the enemy was caught in the Nara clan's Shadow Imitation Technique. In fact, Hokushin was effortlessly defeated by Kakashi.
The Uzumaki clan (うずまき一族, Uzumaki Ichizoku) was a prominent clan in Uzushiogakure. They were distant blood relatives of the Senju clan and as such, both were on good terms; an alliance that extended onto their hidden villages — Konohagakure and Uzushiogakure. The shinobi of Konoha integrated Uzushiogakure's symbol onto their uniforms and flak jackets as well as on the shoulders of their uniforms as a sign of friendship and goodwill between the two villages, and continue to do so to this day, in memory of their friendship even years after Uzushiogakure's destruction.[1]
Overview
The typical appearance of an Uzumaki fūinjutsu.
Members of this clan were very knowledgeable in the art of fūinjutsu, and were both respected, and feared worldwide because of their prodigious skill. Though noted to be crude in their methods, this however, eventually led to the destruction of Uzushiogakure and the rest of the Land of Whirlpools during the era of Shinobi World Wars, as other nations had begun to see the village as too great a threat to go unchecked. With the destruction of their homeland, the remaining survivors of Uzushiogakure fled their homeland and went into hiding, scattered all around the world.[2] Throughout the series members as well as descendants of the clan have resurfaced such as Karin, Nagato from Amegakure along with his parents. With some of them such as Mito and later Kushina having settled in Konoha, along with their ties, structures were built both in, and around the village such as the Uzumaki Clan's Mask Storage Temple.[3]
The Uzumaki and Senju clans.
The Senju and Uzumaki clans are distant blood relatives whom they retained strong connections with.[1] For this reason Konoha-nin uniforms have the symbol of Uzushiogakure emblazoned on its shoulders. Hashirama's wife would also come from this clan, further strengthening their ties. The members of the Uzumaki clan possessed an incredibly strong life force which can both endure and survive most grievous injuries plus incredible longevity.[4] The clan members are also blessed with great recuperative powers, able to quickly recover from extreme exhaustion and mend most injuries in short periods of time. As seen with Karin, she can further enhance her healing powers and even temporarily transfer it to another by letting a person bite her and feed others some of her chakra. Their longevity can be seen in part through Mito, who lived from long before the founding of Konoha, to well into the term of the Third Hokage's reign. The clan's life force was the reason Kushina survived the extraction of her tailed beast, despite additionally just giving birth only moments before, though she was left severely weakened.[5] Two Uzumaki members have shown to possess a strong and special form of chakra, allowing them manifest Chakra Chains from their body which they can manipulate to their will in battle. Whether it not this is an ability known to all Uzumaki is currently unknown.
Trivia
During the early days of the hidden villages, the Uzumaki clan wore armour reminiscent of the period of dress. Under this they wore a long sleeve, black outfit, the shoulders of which bore the crest of Uzushiogakure. They also wore black pants and bandages around their shins.
The surname "Uzumaki" is a pun on "spiral" (渦巻), because it refers to a three-dimensional spiral, like a whirlpool or vortex. "Uzumaki" can also mean "whirlpool", in reference to the Naruto whirlpools (鳴門の渦潮), named after the city of Naruto.
All of the fūinjutsu that have been created by this clan have the clan's spiral crest at the centre of their design.
Red hair was a common trait among the members of the Uzumaki clan.[6][4]
The anime character Honoka was hinted to be a member of the Uzumaki clan. She had red hair and fūinjutsu talents akin to the clan. In Naruto: Shippūdenepisode 227, Aoba also found a book stating that they had found a survivor of a "certain clan of ninja".[7]
